Ghana Philanthropy Awards

National Award for Exemplary Service in Breaking Barriers for Girls’ Education and Equality, presented at the 4th Ghana Philanthropy Awards.

Background

On the evening of 30th October 2025, the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra hosted the 4th Ghana Philanthropy Awards, organized by The Business Executive. Talk2Me Foundation was honoured with the National Award for Exemplary Service in Breaking Barriers for Girls’ Education and Equality.

The award recognised work that had already begun in communities and schools - education, mentorship, advocacy, and the daily labour of making sure girls are heard. It placed that work on a national stage.

Recognition

The award acknowledged the Foundation’s philanthropic excellence and its commitment to empowering girls through education, mentorship, and advocacy. Talk2Me Foundation has become a point of hope for initiatives that challenge social norms, promote emotional wellbeing, and inspire young girls to pursue education and leadership.

The Ghana Philanthropy Awards celebrate individuals and organisations making lasting contributions to Ghana’s development through philanthropy and social innovation. Recognition of Talk2Me Foundation underscores the organisation’s role in shaping a generation of confident, purpose-driven girls who are ready to lead change in their communities.

Founder’s Note

Speaking after the event, Ampem Darkowaa Sarfo, Founder of Talk2Me Foundation, dedicated the award to every girl who continues to rise above limitations and choose purpose over pressure.

She said the recognition reinforces the Foundation’s mission to create safe spaces for girls to express themselves, make informed decisions, and unlock their full potential - paving the way for a future where gender equality is not only a goal, but a lived reality.
